Well we decided to branch out into the wilds of the West Midlands , so we made our debut in Walsall. The Wharf Bar is a cellar bar in the Quality Broadway Hotel, which is a bit posher than the venues we are use to , but hey , we're not complaining! Once again we were joined by the estimed Ian Rushbury on drums, whose skills just keep growing! This gig also saw the debut of our latest "number" called "Inside", a joint effort between myself,Waz and Steve. It rocks, as they say!
We only had a short set due to the evening's other band slots , but I think we did well. Thanks to the few fans who journeyed to see us.We also got some positive comments off a member of another band and the promoter. On the whole , we did well in front of a small crowd. On a personal note I'd also like to say I enjoyed Sideways Glance's blend of indie and Franz Ferdinand style pop. The other bands on the bill were Captain Karma and Jinja.

Other news: a three song sampler, What Will Be , Is That Love and What I Want was sent to Warner/Chappell Publishing in November 2004.
Dissapointly, they sent a standad rejection letter, with my returned CD. Not even bothered to put my name on it! I wondered if they even listened to it?
Personally I think "What Will Be" and the others are all potential hits. The cloth eared A+R people at Warners obviously don't. I could launch into a lenghty diatribe against corporate pop and the "closed shop" that appears to be major record companies, but I won't waste my time.
PS: I notice we are coming up to 500 hits on the site. They can't all be the band members checking things out. So please, we'd love to hear from you!
Drop us an e-mail. I 'm still hoping to get a message board set up someday.
